I suspect your survival rate would be significantly reduced if you were to eat greens offered at a pound shop so count your blessings! You are a crazy girl!

I learned how to cook, or at least enough of how to cook in order to avoid burning the kitchen down, out of a need for fiscal survival as well as dietary. I found the book, The Batchelor's Guide to Avoid Starvation, to be a Godsend for the utter newbie.
