Ok, so it seems as though whenever I have a very happy period of time, it is always brought to an abrupt halt. So I had the great end of the year, finally got a job for the summer, I've been taking a summer class that is going pretty well....and then today happened. The day where I find out if I passed the General Curriculum MTEL. I heard mixed

Hey sweetie, I won't give you comfort by saying that you'll do better next time or that because you are awesome all your hard work will pay off in the end. What I will say is that I listened to your rant, I understand what you're going through (I've hit rock bottom on a great many occasion) and I'm here to listen to any feelings you may have, whether they be shitty, joyful, or anywhere in between.

Thanks Nicky!! I'm just so sick of people telling me everytime I take these tests that "You'll pass next time!" or "Don't feel that way you are going to be an awesome teacher"....well I can't be a teacher until I pass the tests. So thank you for the comment :)

I won;t give you the usual bullshit because I hated it this time when people say I'll find another job...

You are smart... nobody really gets it the first time unless you are a super nerd. (Sorry people who have). They aren;t easy tests... they make you think... you were stressed...they pick LOUSY times to give them.. right around finals.. ARGH!

Thanks Alison...I only missed by 7 points so not too bad for a first try...but it still sucks. Anyway I got more camp stuff in the mail....it was a letter from my camp director with all of the orientation details and the staff list. I can't wait for Thursday....orginally I wanted to see if you wanted to go out to dinner but my cousins are coming over for the day so I can't :(

Stef! i love you! I'm always here if you ever need to talk. Another thing, don't let people who succeed easily get you down. I had a friend that I compared myself to all throughout highschool like that and the thing you should remember is that people like that never have to struggle for anything. They're great people, but if you've never had to work for anything you get then it doesn't mean as much when you succeed. You're smart stef, but more importantly, you work hard, and its that hard work that's going to get you places in life. You have a drive that most people lack and I really admire that in you. Don't be discouraged, youre going to be an AMAZING teacher someday.
