I'm sorry for the long absense - I'm here to make up with some beautiful songs! :)
(All songs are mp3's uploaded on mediafire. The links are the little notes next to the song titles. If there are any problems, please let me know. Do not repost/share these links, comment if you like, and enjoy! )
Sometime Around Midnight ~ Airborne Toxic Event
♫And it starts sometime around midnight; or at least that's when you lose yourself for a minute or two
as you stand under the barlights, and the band plays some song about forgetting yourself for a while
and the piano's this melancholy soundcheck to her smile
and that white dress she's wearing; you haven't seen her for a while...
You just have to see her and you know that she'll break you in two.
I heard this song on the radio last night, and fell in love with it from the beginning. Especially the beginning - you will understand what I mean when you listen to it.
Impossible ~ Shout Out Louds
♫I don't want to see the same pictures all over
and I've been standing on the same spot now since it's been over
'cause someone promised me a new chance, yes you promised
I don't want to wake up knowing I don't have a future.
impossible... your love is something I cannot remember.
I heard that on the radio last night too (they play good music at 3am, what can I say?), and it kind of reminded me of the Cure at first, so I thought I'd check it out. You should too ;).
This is Everything ~ Tegan and Sara
♫And I don't know how to hold you without shaking
no, I'm not aware of how I could possibly love you without aching
I gave you everything
I've got to love myself and take care
this is your last look
'cause, baby, this is the last honest look I'll ever give.
I stumbled upon this song on Tumblr, and it was a song by Tegan and Sara I didn't know yet... so I was bound to love it. It gives me the chills everytime.
Talking About a Revolution ~ Tracy Chapman
♫Don't you know you're talking about a revolution, it sounds like a whisper
Poor people are gonna rise up and get their share
Poor people are gonna rise up and take what's theirs
Don't you know you better run
Finally the tables are starting to turn
Talking about a revolution...
I've loved this song since forever, it's one of the songs I kinda grew up to. Tracy Chapman's voice is amazing... heartbreaking.
Space Oddity ~ David Bowie
♫This is ground control to major Tom - you've really made the grade
and the papers want to know whose shirts you wear... now its time to leave the capsule if you dare
This is major Tom to ground control - I'm stepping through the door
and Im floating in a most peculiar way; and the stars look very different today...
Here am I floating 'round my tin can, far above the moon
Planet earth is blue and theres nothing I can do.
Lyrics are not needed in this case, really. You've got to bow to David Bowie, and you've got to love this song. I have had it on repeat for the last month...
