It's been a while since I updated. I took a week off from work to go to PL. It feels like time stopped while I was there, like I just jumped out and stepped back in right where I left off. Work is normal. People quit daily. Everyone is short handed. I don't like to wish time away, it's a bad practice, but man do I wish this summer of hell ( Read more... )

It's Saturday afternoon and I'm HOME! SCORE. I'm wicked excited to have the afternoon off. I told Rob that since I wasn't getting a day off this week that I AM leaving early. Ending on Sunday night at 10:30 I finished up at a nice round 80 hours for the week. That's a personal best I have to say, I've never done much better than that. Or worse, I haven't decided yet. I just got back from the Cat Empire show here in Portland. It was a good show. It was outside and it rained most of the time. They played a short set. They gave us a new song. I liked it. They didn't play the wine song or hello, which are two of my favorite songs, but they did play Chariot, which is great. They are playing again in a week in ( Read more... )

There was no rain today, on my day off. It's great to be off during a time when there is no rain. It doesn't happen often for me. I got my hair cut really short today. It is now the fifth of July, not the fourth, which is what I will report on mostly. I had a day off today, my only day off this week. I have only worked two days this week but I managed to put in 30 hours. No joke. This being true I will be on over time at 7:30 tomorrow evening. That's pretty exciting. I finished house sitting. I had a lovely day off today. I was my mom's birthday. Good think I got the day off. My dad and sis and I went shopping for her today. I also bought a shirt while we were out.
