To continue from my last post, I put together a series of pictures I took of the moon a few nights ago, and I think they're really beautiful. If you have time, please look and let me know what you think. I'd love some feedback

Those pictures remind me of this... just beautiful.
O Fortuna velut luna statu variabilis, semper crescis aut decrescis; vita detestabilis nunc obdurat et tunc curat ludo mentis aciem, egestatem, potestatem dissolvit ut glaciem.
O Fortune, like the moon you are changeable, ever waxing and waning; hateful life first oppresses and then soothes as fancy takes it; poverty and power it melts them like ice.
That was the moon? Darn it, I was hoping it was a UFO. But I guess Lorca wasn't inspired by aliens. Anyway, I do think the photos are an elegant illustration of the quote. It sort of reminds me of the argument over Cage's "In a Landscape." What sort of landscape is Cage thinking of: a piece of land or an abstract intellectual concept? I suppose in this case the photos don't necessarily tempt me to take it so literally.

O Fortuna
velut luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis
aut decrescis;
vita detestabilis
nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,
egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.
O Fortune,
like the moon
you are changeable,
ever waxing
and waning;
hateful life
first oppresses
and then soothes
as fancy takes it;
poverty
and power
it melts them like ice.
