When I see you,
My books close to my chest,
My glasses slipping down my noce,
My breath held tightly in my chest,
And my face growing warmer and warmer as you pass.
You pass me like royalty,
That's the pure miracle.
I can still smell your scent wafting where you passed.
my words don't seem to reach you.
What can I say?
The first time we've met
I was at your knees and at your feet.
My glasses on the floor.
My books and papers scattered everywhere.
I heard your voice but saw nothing but a blurry image,
Everything else seemed to be droned out.
You placed my glasses back on me
Your smile, melted me right on the spot.
You knelt down and picked up the books and papers that had been scattered.
I took them from you slowly
As you stood, you helped me up.
That moment,
If only it had lasted.
It was the first and the last moment
That we were to encounter.
But now, I once again watch you from afar
Like I've always done, even before you've ever noticed me.
