ME
Ah yes, the classics. What's your personality like?: An
Analytical Thinker,
INFJ, a terrible geek what comes to movies and just plain weird. I have the habit of being a bit of a smartass at times, and I'm one of those people who imagine they possess some sort of artistic talent. According to my friends I have an addictive personality and I've been told I'm sweet but totally badass.
Overall positive traits; Weird, more or less insane at times, imaginative, curious without being nosy, intuitive, smart, sweet but totally badass, private, comfortable with self, able to have fun alone, obsessive/passionate about interests, knows what they don't want, stubborn, able to say "no".
Overall negative traits; Paranoid, bitter, snarky, neurotic, loner by choice, a smartass, procrastinator, forgetful, focuses more on fantasy than reality, easily annoyed, easily distracted, moody, short-tempered, impatient, picky, harsh at times, unable to pay attention if not interested, avoidant, prone to depression, awkward/uncomfortable in new situations, dwells on things, easily insulted/hurt, takes things too personally.
Do you play any instruments? If not, what instruments would you like to play if you learned how to play one?: I play bass but only a little so obviously I'd like to get better at that. I've been planning that if I'm still interested in playing the bass when I get good enough at that I might start saving money for contrabass [double bass, whatever the hell you call it]. I'm also a little interested in learning to play the drums and ridiculously interested in learning to play the harmonica. I really think harmonica's a pretty badass instrument and it would be so cool to know how to play one.
Imagine you're trying to set up a band. How would you go about advertising or looking for other bandmates? I think I'd avoid actual advertising 'till the last minute. I'd very much prefer asking people I know if they know someone who can sing or play an instrument of some sort and ask for their contact information. And of course, I'd ask my friends if they had any hidden/secret talents in the musical department.

THE (SORTA) TOUGH STUFF
Are you politically involved? Meh. I naturally have an opinion about things that are important to me but I just can't be bothered with politics to be honest. To me most of the time politics are all talk, no action and if the people in charge can't be motivated to do the things they say they will why would I have the motivation to follow them?
Would you consider yourself more of a person who likes to sit down and listen to the structure of music, or someone who just dances to it? Hrm, I'd say I'm a mix of both. Though I only dance when I'm by myself and I don't think it's fair to call those weird moves I make "dancing". XD So let's say I like moving to the music, though of course whether I move or not depends what kind of song it is.
Choose one song that epitomizes how you like your music. For example, if you're a dancer, you'd probably choose something like The Beach Boy's 'Dance Dance Dance'.

I was originally going to go for Hurricane by Bob Dylan 'cause I like my music to tell a story or a scene etc., but I can't because YouTube sucks. Therefore I'll be boring and go with Billy Idol 'cause I like my music the best when I'm alone and then I can enjoy it by myself.

SCALE IT DOWN FOR ME!
On the scale 1-5, how much do you like what would be considered 'stereotypical' acoustics in your band? We're talking strumming acoustic guitars here, very earthy feel. 2. Besides some of the rare, calm songs I don't think we'd include much acoustics in our performance.
On the scale 1-5, how experimental do you like your music? Will you be using rubber ducks as backup singers, or just sticking with your typical four-piece band? 3,5-4. We'd be a four-piece band [the lead singer, the guitarist, the bassist and the drummer], however we'd all know how to play at least two instruments and/or wouldn't be afraid of go in front of the mic so we'd do variations of our regular roles so in our live performances you could never know for sure what you're getting. Also, let's not forget about surprise guests, both singers and instrument players.
On the scale 1-5, how danceable is your music? Could you groove to it in a club, or do you have to sit down to appreciate the nuances? Depends on the dancing. A danceable song reminds me of upbeat pop songs, and since that wouldn't fit our style at all it'd definitely be 1. But we're not a quiet band either, so in this case you must interpret "danceable" as a song you basically jump and trash around and do some odd, jerky movements and then we're a 4.
On the scale 1-5, how sentimental is your music? Butterflies and days gone by, or pushing forward, no regrets? 1,5. Besides the occasional cover song or a rare sentimental song written by the sensitive sould in our band we'd avoid all sentimentality like plague.
On the scale 1-5, how sexual is your music? Getting down and dirty, or sunshine and lollypops? 2,5. Even though I don't think our band would be known for making romantic/sexual songs a certain amount of raunchiness is always needed.
Quick, choose one inanimate object you own that you think represents you as a person the most. Don't explain it, just state it. Sid [my bass] was the first one that came in my mind but that would be so lame, but.. Sid. I would've said my DVD collection but that has more than one inanimate object so I doubt it counts.
How important is live performance to the music you like? As in, presentation? Running around the stage or just about the music? I don't want any fancy flashy outfits and special effects and such but I definitely want a connection between our moving on the stage and the song we're currently playing. You know, if the song was quiet/calm/sad etc. we'd definitely keep the movement to a minimum, but if it was a more aggressive song we'd definitely be running and jumping around the stage, probably bashing into each other and breaking some instruments and bones. And of course you've got to be a bit energetic on the stage, there has to be some sort of connection between the band and the audience, we don't want them to feel like they could've just stayed home listening to our album.
How important is image to the music you like? To me it doesn't really matter that much, though I'd be lying if I said it didn't matter at all.

Is there a role you strongly disagree to be voted in? Please don't choose more than two as the options are limited: The Keyboardist/the Pianist. Just for the simple reason that I've tried them out and while I'd be interested in learning to play them [like all the options, to be honest] I just didn't feel connected to them and even though I might learn to play the keyboards someday I really can't see them as my main instrument.
