I recently came upon a video with Kate Moss being projected as a hologram at some technology event. Now that's fucking awesome that we can do that, but the music they picked for this? The theme from Schindler's List. Ok, whoever picked that music should be fired immediately for horrible taste and lack of respect

hey whats up. I would just like to say that I understand why you think its disrespectful, but you are also comparing a ring tone to fine art. McQueen is known for juxtaposing two elements to elicit a response from viewers, and the context of the song with the visual, and also who the model is and who the designer is must be taken into consideration. Sorry if I am getting to defensive about fashion, I just know as a designer, we can be easily labeled as shallow comercial whores who just make pointless ephemera. Well I am sure there are some out there, but there are certainly those who want something more. I am not saying that McQueens choice of song was the best choice for his vision, but there was thought put into it. At anyrate, he did elicit a response from you, and I hope if makes you think more about fashion, and design in general

Nah, I'm not offended by what you've said. It's not that much of an issue, the video didn't offend me, but from a musician's standpoint, I think the choice of music was in bad taste. I'm not saying he shouldn't be allowed to do that, though, as the cliche goes, it's a free country.
