The cheaper one, with no lawn maintenance. But then, it's my personal goal to get through life and never mow a yard. :) My mom needed a new door on her place, she told the landlady and they hooked her up. Maybe the same could happen for you?

I asked them if there was any chance of getting some of the things repaired. They basically said the property is being rented "as is" and if I want anything else done to it, my rent is going to go up.

Do what I do - GO with number 2! aleon April 8 2006, 00:14:42 UTC
Space - you have stuff. Stuff adds up. You need room for your stuff.
New front door - outside doesn't matter that much as long as you can do what you want inside, looks good, and you dont get drive-bys.
Bathroom Counter space GOOD!
Appliances - ...does it really matter, as long as they work...?

BAD to 2... garage access and laundry Im not sure because can't compare to #1, but seems ok.
You dont really need a deck. How often you go outside, anyway?

One has a garage with inside access, hookups inside.

There's a random closet in #2... it's a small door, probably 3' but it's only like 6" deep. Not even big enough to put a vacuum in. Maybe brooms, or wrapping paper? I dunno... It will likely not get used. But I went back over there tonight. If I get accepted for both, I'll choose #2.

$650 a month? anonymous April 10 2006, 11:05:58 UTC
man what a deal... is this $650 per person per month? How come our rent is like more than double that? I want to live where you live.

Nope, $650 total, though if I want pets rent becomes $675. 2 bedrooms range from about $550-775 here. There are some that are more or less, but if you go more than that you may as well get a 3 bedroom.
