So as I mentioned in yesterday's journal, there are certain responsibilities that follow marriage. For example, has anyone ever heard that little rhyme that goes "Rob and Cheri sittin' in a tree?..." All I can say is that we found out there was pool as to when we would get pregnant (everyone thought it would be within the first year). Yeah we beat that.
Don't let the pressure get to you all, at least for the first year :)

I have only been to one baby shower in my whole life and it was actually at work this past year for my boss, whose wife delivered in February. I have always been under the impression that baby showers are an event that only females attend. Most males are not that interested in attending anyways.

Hold your ground if you feel pressure by the family on having a child. Don't feel like you have to either. I have no doubt you and Robby could handle one, however, it is more important that you feel you really want a child. If the want isn't there, it will make it just that much worse when the added responsibilites of having a child hit. In general, I think married couples have children too early in their marriage, which creates regrets later in their life.

I'm glad you like hosting parties more than attending. I tend to lean more on the attendee side nowadays.

You know, I too always thought that baby showers were a "female only" thing. However it seems that we are behind the times friendo.

The world went and got metrosexual on us!

So what is your pool? I am curious. Oh, and baby showers have nothing to do with metro-ism. It's more of a Mr. Mom generational thing. One is not related to the other. Rob is totally not metro, but he will totally be kinda Mr. Momish. In otherwords, he will be an awesomely hands-on dad some day.

Don't have babies... well..at least right now!! Couple friends without kids are becoming a rarity.

Right now Josh and I have concluded we are a little bit too selfish.. just want to have that vacation time and other time with each other. The dog is enough responsibility.
