So.. Instead of my family, Haley, and I going to Orlando today, it'll just be Chris and me! This will be the first time driving to Orlando by ourselves... Chris will drive to Tallahassee and then I'll drive the rest of the way.

My second week of work... It's definitely getting better, easier, and faster. :-) Yesterday one of the homeowners of one of the condos asked if we deep clean rooms. We asked our supervisor, and she said that we can do it. So this morning the lady showed us her place.

During the past 5 days, there has been a HUGE impact on me, both mentally and physically...

* worked 41 hours, which includes 6 hours overtime
* SORE, PAINFUL feet...SWEAT...EXHAUSTION...
* swept floors and stairs MILLION times more than I have in my whole life
* cleaned railings that probably expanded a total of 1-2 miles

Since I haven't heard anything from the 5 receptionist positions that I've applied for, I've given up and decided to do this job with my mom. We're cleaning condos in Perdido Key. Some of them are still damaged from Hurricane Ivan.

Today we were just sweeping the breezeways. It's hot, but the pay is good - $8.25 per hour. It's also pretty laid ( Read more... )

The past several days have been great - graduations, getting together with friends, celebrating, EATING... ::sighs:: This summer vacation is hitting off pretty well. :-)

This coming up week is going to be GREAT too - more graduation parties, a wedding, more get-togethers. YAY!!!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!! :-D

So... I've been looking at lists of job opportunities available, and there are several openings for medical receptionist/clerk at hospital departments, clinics, etc. If I can get a job in a medical environment, that would be GREAT!! Because then I would actually be doing something (as compared to only doing so much as a volunteer)!
