It always starts out that way, you get the compliments, you get praised for the awesome job you do, and then you get nothing no matter how much work you do or how well you do it because you decided bending over to take manager bull-shit in the ass isnt worth the fake kindness and you then everything turns into sarcastic remarks and blunt critizims of nothing and only half behind your back. Well at least thats what happened for me, but you know what man, I really think your good at this, ive seen alot of people do it and you pick it up fairly quickly, hell, twice as quick as I did. I think you'll do well working in service, for as long as your going to be here. If you need any help, just ask.
