Finally...

So finally I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed. All four of them. I'm looking forward to a week of lounging around the house watching movies. I'd be happy to hear everyone's wisdom teeth extractions stories, so lay 'em on me.

Oh yes. The infamous wisdom teeth. I was put under anesthesia for mine, so I don't remember a thing. (Which is a GOOD thing) I spent most of the next few days sleeping and recovering from being under. I also got all of mine removed (you may as well take all of 'em!)

If I can give you any advise, it's to keep ice packs on your cheeks as often as possible. This will help with pain and swelling so you don't look like a chipmunk. And milkshakes are awesome. ;) I would also advise that you have someone with you the first few days if you go under becuase you'll be really disoriented. So hopefully your hubby will be there to help take care of ya. :) I had mine taken out in high school, so I had my good 'ol mom to help me recover. She would help me change gauze, bring me my milkshake, and replace my ice packs.

Good luck!

i had mine pulled while we were in high school, senior year. i had all four pulled at the same time. the only thing i remeber from before they were pulled was them putting something in my iv. i wasn't in any pain but the gaze they packed in my mouth was the most annoying thing ever. you can't eat popcorn or chips for a bout a month. can't drink out of a straw for about 2 weeks.
my denist(sp) always laughed at my xrays after i had them pulled. cause you are missing 4 teeth.
