pitchfork festival a couple weeks ago. It was a pretty good time, or a completely awesome time for $40, depending on how you look at it

I thought the Liars were awesome, they were definitely a highlight. They were extremely loud. Somehow I thought they wouldn't able to pull off that sound with only 3 people live, but I was wrong.
I would highly reccomend seeing Mission of Burma, they put on a great show, even if they only played for less than an hour.

I go through phases where all I listen to (in terms of music, not just hip-hop) is Ready To Die. I'm currently in one of those phases, with the exception of this Zé Ramalho album. But lately:
Ice Cube's The Predator/Death Certificate Gravediggaz's 6 Feet Deep/Niggamortis and I've been getting into some Big Pun, too.
I haven't heard The Predator, what is wrong with me?musicunderwaterAugust 17 2006, 01:21:00 UTC
I'm still kinda slowly dissecting Fishscale, it's probably my fav. (as I would imagine for many others) album of 2006. Other than that, Pete Rock and CL Smooth's stuff Main Ingredient and Mecca have been getting quite a few spins for quite some time now.
Honestly it's just my kind of thing, I guess. I knew a lot of people liked them, but everyone? I didn't know they were all that popular. But still, I guess they're a bit like the Fall, in that it's an acquired taste, although they're a bit more accessible. what kind of post-punk do you like?

When I saw Mission of Burma live they were absolutely gut-wrenchingly BAD. Just shitty, shitty music. Why does everyone like them!?
