there is a hole in the ground.

Hey~
Uh.. so.. yeah.. I haven't felt like posting anything here in a while though lot's have happened. X'3 I've been lurking around on my f-list and read all of it... but.. not commented much, haha no big surprise there.. :P

Ok.. I think I'll just write about the most important stuff... a.k.a. the stuff I remember..

SO, the Journey project went fine.. I finished on time  and I was quite happy with the "finale piece" as they called it. At the day of "handing-it-in-but-not-really" we did a peer group assessment, though I didn't have any partner to do it with... :'3 Anyway.. we had made 2 small "exhibitions" if we can call it that, one with the stuff group A had made and one with the stuff group B had made.. and as the teachers FINALLY had discovered that my surname actually has one more letter, even though that letter doesn't exist in the English alphabet..which I guess is the reason to why they just..took it away completely.. X'3 ..I were back down in group B.. though I must say group A was fun... but my name is not Demark...  it starts with an "Ø".. remember that people.. XD and if you haven't got the "Ø" you can use the "O".. but please do not take that letter away.. ^^,  So.. there.. uhm.. where was I...? OH.. The "assessment"... that was interesting... group A went around looking and assessing group B's projects and vice versa. the grades we could give were:

Pass - 40-48%
Pass Pluss - 49-58%
Merit - 58-69%
Distinction - 70-100%

The tutors had decided that none would fail this project, which was nice. They said this was more a way to "get to know us and to let us get to know them..so no one would fail on this thing." Yey! sort of safe then I thought. XD  They gave us 3 questions we should think about when we where assessing the works and they where:

1. How effectively has the work of the chosen artist impacted on the final piece.
2. Do the prints adequately expand the theme of the project.
3. Is the construction of the final piece technically competent.

You have no idea how the butterflies jumped in my stomach when I read them.. o.O I was SO unsure if I had fulfilled any of those criterias or not.. Assessing other peoples work was so hard! o.O  And after the weekend they put notes on our desks with the grades they gave us and I got a MERIT! 8D I've actually put it up on my wall. XD Seriously, I was so worried about the whole thing.. if I should have done more, if I should have done it differently or.. if there was anything I had misunderstood or yeah, you get the picture. X'3  I was amazingly happy when I realized that I got a merit... Haaaa~  XD But maybe I should have been that surprised as my work was one of the things the tutors used to show us what they where looking for in this kind of work/project. They said lots of nice things about it.. and made me feel proud and a little embarrassed as it where in front of the whole class. X'3 but.. yeah. .... AWESOME. and good for my almost non-existent  self-confidence.  XP

My final piece :

Made by sewing with machine on paper and cutting out of one of the mono-prints we did the first week.

Aaaaaand.. then we went to London last Wednesday at 08:00 am.. (HAHAH! I have finally learned what the am and pm thing is! 8D) I had to get up at six..Oh well.. London, galleries, paintings, sculptures and other artsy stuff made up for that. 8D Ok, the point of the trip was for us to look at figures, and things.. and to D-R-A-W, that was the main thing the tutors wanted us to do.. they even went as far as banning cameras on the trip.. Not that many cared..but they did. X3 I took photos on the bus mostly and ..outside of the galleries. out of respect for the tutors..and for the project, they wants us to draw for a reason.. no way taking pictures are ok then, and oh, by the way.. in most galleries cameras are banned anyway. XP And you shouldn't walk around taking pictures of things just because... at least not in a gallery. to me that is W-R-O-N-G... see that? it's so wrong I even wrote it in big letters... X3  after travelling and walking around all day we finally got to go to the hotel, which actually reminded me of the one in Tokyo. 8D with the yellow sheets and everything~ *w* though, the beds had WHEELS! We could roll around in the hotel-room on the beds. XD ..I had fun. >:3 And then.. after mumbling about getting some food, me, Nicolle and a few others went out to hunt. First we went left from the hotel, but that didn't lead us anywhere so we went back and asked one of the guys at the reception if he knew of somewhere to eat and he told us to go right.. so we did.. and eventually we found a PizzaHut and a few other food-places. As I had never been to PizzaHut before I found that to be a interesting experience.. sort of reminds me of Dolly and Peppes just.. even fancier.. I don't think any of those have some sort of cheese-buns instead of the "normal" pizza-edge.. But it was fun. ^^ I had a really good time.

left: the beds of awesome. right: I can't help it...MAGNUMDAMNIT! XDD

left: my pizza..with I don't remember what sauce..but it's not ketchup. :3 right: unlimited KING TANGO! 8D ..with lime? O.o

left: food hunting...  >:3  right: ...do you see why I took that picture.. ?  XD

left: stuff I bought at the Barbican.. *w* right: the tickets and booklets we got at the different galleries. ^^
with the exception of the blue Extra thing.. we got that for free by the flirting dude who served us at PizzaHut..

We went to the Gauguin exhibition at Tate Modern on Wednesday, the Future Beauty - 30 years of Japanese fashion at the Barbican and then Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes at the V&A... :3... Guess where I enjoyed being most.. XD  And at the Barbican they're showing lot's of Japanese films like Nana, Instant Swamp, a few anime films, lot's of silent films and a few "scary" films.. *w* Take me back there please~   X3 Uhm.. but yeah, I did draw a lot.. filled almost the whole sketchbook. :D *pats shoulder*

Yesterday I went to the cinema with Tonje & co. we saw The Social Network.. it was...ok.. not normally something I would go to the cinema to see.. seemed more like a TV documentary than a film.. So yeah... but it was interesting.. I love technobabble. 8D I don't have to understand it.. as long as I can listen to it I'm fine. XD Oh, god how I miss the gang from VOFHS... -____- Magic, D&D, random games and other fancy stuff.. I actually MISS IT!.  mhm. :3 well, I guess this is all for now.. XD I'll try to post more regularly .. X'3
