a bat

So last night as i was drifting off to sleep i heard something by the window. kind've a scraping sound. i shrugged it off and then opened my eyes again i saw a black thing fall from the window area onto my bed. THEN it started flying around my room, it had to either be a bat or a bird. i heard no chirping as i was hiding in fear under my blanket ( Read more... )

... they will fly around you, and will usually not land on you. But if you use something to disturb it's sonar, if will fly into things, including yourself. If it is still in the room tonight and beginns to fly around again, switch on the light and then wait till it lands somewhere. Collect it of from the surface it's clinging on and use thick gloves or a towel for it. Because bats could scratch and bite(well, what would cou do if something giant grabs you). Like I sayed they are usually harmless, but some of them could have the rabies, therefore avoid it to get bitten, when you catch it. Then bring it outside, so that it could fly off into freedom. :)
Bats are mammals and could look pretty cute. Try to catch it alive, some bat species are pretty rare. A
