Right? I started getting emails about this from change.org a while back and I thought it was a joke. Seriously, I thought, "Ok, now they're just making shit up." \

I signed the petition against this bill on Tumblr this morning. It is extremely important for people to know this is happening and I think it's awesome you posted about it <3

Fantastic! =)

<3333

I've heard so little about this that the first time I heard about it, I thought it was a joke. I figured, if it were real, surely there'd be a big fuss being kicked up about it, but everyone has remained largely silent. I wonder how many people even know that this is happening? ._. I kind of suspect that the government is taking advantage of the fact that everyone is focusing their attention on OWS and the campaigns to sneak this bill past with minimal noise. :/

I definitely thought it was a joke at first and the more I read about it the more convinced I became that it couldn't possibly be real. It is scary! I honestly don't think many people know about it and the ones that do have only heard about it through Facebook or Tumblr :/ Unfortunately I think your suspicion could absolutely be correct.

Same! I had the exact same thought process.

I just... eugh, it makes my skin crawl, thinking about how slimy the gov cam be sometimes. I have the most awful feeling that this legislation is going to pass, and then...what? I mean, we know what happens as outlined in the documents, but what happens? The government has a history of pushing it with their own laws; how far beyond the boundaries of this one will they push, especially when theres a personal benefit involved? Ugh. :(

I don't know, man. I just... ugh, as much as I love my country on a good day, I can't stand it on others; I really don't care how awful that makes me sound. :|

Thank you so much, bb! I'll edit the entry right now; I actually have more info to post, too, so.

No, no, by all means! You'd be surprised how many Americans are unaware of the fact that this legislation is even in existance right now; awareness needs to be spread! You don't even have to ask. Thanks!

Well, I've always thought the US is pretty fucked up... At least the government (what the hell with involving God in every singly thing?!?!). And I have LIVED there... I have a lot of friends from the US! It is not the people I have a problem with... Parts of the culture... (What the hell with sending the army all over the world?!?!?!) And, most importantly... what seems to be pretty much a national feeling that the US is a world police. :-/ Oh... Oh... I do NOT like that! Sweden my be a small fucking country... but we are an old and stubborn country... with good friends in Norway, Finland and Denmark... You won't see the Scandinavian countries bow down to anyone.

America's a good country, but there's definitely a lot of problems. Especially when it comes to the government. I can't even discuss it fully because I admit I'm not super informed, but definitely on a day to day basis, the things that get pulled sometimes are ridiculous. I hate the sense of entitlement stereotype, I reaaaaaally dislike people who fuel that one by acting out their sense of entitlement (All the people who think that Americans speak "American," I'm looking at you e_e All the people who go to countries where English is not the dominant language, and expect the citizens to "speak Amuuurikan," I'm looking at you, too! >:| ), and I particularly dislike the people who run for office but are filled with arrogance, bigotry, and are so out of touch with the world that they'd be better suited to life under a rock, and et want to run our country and handle international affairs. /rant ( ... )
