I can't decide if I want to switch to Physics or not. I spoke to the maths tutor yesterday and he does think I'm nuts, however I can have a Physics interview if I want - it's just that today I'm not sure if that is what I want. The favourite of one of our lecturers seems to be,

"Given a number n that is both even and odd, it follows that
n=17."

He pulls it on unprepared students, and then watches them struggle. I think it's meant to be a learning technique - he doesn't seem sadistic :)

Ah, I remember those problems from my Logic class. I know my prof didn't use an Ichabod proof to prove invalid agruments. I think the one he used (which is probably somewhere on your list) was something like:

All men are human.
All women are human.
Therefore all men are women.
