I feel compelled to respond to your entry:

I've been reading your entries through Mike's Friends Page - you seem down to earth and your flow of writing is seamless.

But concerning this particular entry - from my own experience, 'friends' come and go throughout a lifetime and yeah, you have every right to want to be around genuine people - life is too short for superficialism, right? What's the benefit in being in toxic relationships? There are tons of people out there who you'll meet and become very good friends with, just keep your chin up and hang on a bit. You've got a good head on your shoulders, judging from what I've read, I'm sure it's only a matter of time that others around you will appreciate that too - and if they don't - fuck 'em.
