I made my song a coat
covered with embroideries
Out of old mythologies
From heel to throat;
But the fools caught it,
Wore it in the World's eyes
As though they'd wrought it.
Song, let them take it.
For there's more enterprise
In walking naked.
- Yeats

I posted this, because I'm wondering what is your interpretation to this poem.

That depends; what kind of explication are you fishing for?

We cover ourselves up in words because it is the only thing we know how to do; it is the thing that makes the most sense and it seems armour but it is not. These words are anything from songs to stories of the past to words of prophets and wise men of science and philosophers; they begin to bury us. We allow it. Very few people view us for what we are. Even then they do not see us in 20/20 vision. The world is a dangerous place walking openly; but walking that way is allowing ourselves to feel and be more.
