I love college

I adore the spontaneity of college. I love the fact that I innocently walked out of south quad, licking an ice cream cone, to find myself immediately immersed in an Affirmative Action support march. I loved that the same girl asked me three times "are you with us?" and that eventually she realized it and we laughed about it. It was such a heated ( Read more... )

My class was supposed to get a phone call when Al was supposed to speak so we'd end class and go watch him (which would have been spectacular, leaving a three hour class an hour into it). But alas, the boy who was supposed to call went to the bathroom and by the time he came out again Al's speech was ending (and we therefore didn't get to see it). So if that account is true, I don't think you missed much speechwise.

The best was this girl in my psych class who tried to convince me that it was not, in fact, Al Sharpton, but John Edwards. I was like, "No... there's a BIG difference, and that is CERTAINLY not John Edwards."

hahahahaha. in her defense, john edwards will be here tomorrow, but i'm gonna say i'm positive that one look would have let you know it was al not john.

P.S. I told my mom to tell my dad that Al Sharpton was here (obviously he and my dad would be very compatible) and she replied, "Oh he'll be so sorry he missed it!" I got a chuckle out of that.
