Icons: Fandom - White Collar, Karl Urban & Chris Pine

Jan 08, 2011 18:19

81 icons, theme: Man Candy! To be more specific: White Collar, Karl Urban and Chris Pine. I'm classifying these all as fandom icons because clearly Karl and Chris aren't stock icons.

For her birthday (back in September!) the lovely julietm requested White Collar icons, particularly Neal and a couple of Mozzie. I couldn't just leave it at that. ( Read more... )

I hope you were at least surprised by Karl and Chris. Like I said, considering the questionable sounds that were coming out of my office as I made them - I figured you would have guessed there was some sort of man candy-gasm going on in here. LOL.

You... are so welcome. Now, to work on that other set I told you about. MWAHAHAHAHA.

Entirely unrelated:

But when I just read "Hazardous to your health", I realized you were the perfect person to ask this:

Omelets made in a ziploc bag. Delicious and easy, sure, but will they also kill you in the long run? i.e. boiling plastic in water.

Did you SEE this post? How can you possibly be thinking about omelets at a time like this, unless you are eating it off of the deliciousness from above...*drools

LOL!

I was just waiting for someone to point that out to me.

In my defense:
a) I only saw the hot!pics after my comment was posted.
b) It's past midnight and I'm more than slightly drunk.
c) I am starving.
d) I was actually thinking Neal should make me an omelet, dressed in nothing but an apron....you know in the morning, like after a long night of hot sex.

*tackle hugs* I didn't even know you were still around on LJ!

*puts on chemistry nerd hat* To answer your question: The main reason you want to avoid plastics, particularly when microwaving and boiling, is the release of Bisphenol-A (BPA) from the plastic. However, according to Ziplock Brand, they do not use BPA in their materials, nor have they for many years. Generic bags may contain BPA. You can usually find out from the company's site what they use in the plastic. So I say, as long as you use Ziplock brand or any other brand that specifically prohibits the use of BPA in manufacturing, you'll be all right. [The main effect of BPA is reproductive issues. Our lab is actually working with BPA as part of a risk assessment.]

I hope that answers your question. :)

LOL. Keysmashy was pretty much how I was while making these icons. The housemate/best friend has her office just behind mine. I'm sure she wondered what I was doing in here, judging from the sounds I was making and the whining about "it's not fair that he's so pretty and not mine." haha.

I'm glad you liked. :)

haha. Well, sometimes licking can't be helped... and you know, it does keep the screen clean. ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed these. I certainly had fun making them. *settles in and stares
