I went to the clinic on Wednesday night. I wasn't going to, but when I got home, these waves of nausea and shaking were getting so bad that I literally stopped and thought to myself "I really feel sick. Like really sick" and then I got nervous. I've been wondering if I could be pregnant, since the kids found my birth control last month and ( Read more... )

coffee is very acidic so it can irritate an ulcer. steve has an ulcer and it isn't dangerous really, but they should be watched. also, try to cut down on any fried or greasy foods because those too can make it worse.

i hope you feel a lot better very soon!

Only dangerous if left untreated which could end up in a perforation, requiring emergency surgery and a hospital stay. I have an ulcer, too. Coffee is not good for it, but do you think that stops me? Take the meds and don't fret. Hey, at least you're not pregnant! Talk about dangerous.
Good luck on Monday!

Eww... I don't like the idea of surgery or hospital stays! I agree, I was pretty happy not to be pregnant, though I won't be convinced until the nausea stops. I had a doctor tell me the pill was dangerous and she didn't want to renew my prescription, so I told her that having a baby was just as dangerous and I would choose my risk. No babies until I can pay all my bills without developing an ulcer.

I'm sorry to say I will not be giving up coffee, though this nausea has cut me back from 5 cups to 1. That's pretty good, I'd say. I'm sooooo thirsty now that all I want is water, all the time!

My diagnosis with Irritablle bowel syndrome has robbed me of caffinated coffee. It can be done and after 10 days I woke up this morning feeling pretty physically good. take good care, these stress related illnesses suck.
