I started taking French classes through work last week. I've only had 2 lessons and already things make so much more sense. My eccentric and hilarious teacher put it all into perspective when someone said "You're not like my other french teachers... you explain more about why." and he said "Of course I explain. We have The Midget in Spanish, mostly because D and I speak it anyway. And we love Mexico, I grew up close to the border, etc etc another lifetime ago.
But her name is French (Manon) as is her heritage through D. So just yesterday she was asking me some French words (oh dear - I can say only a few useless things). And she wants to learn French.
So yay for you. We'll have to look into it too.
