Well, there's a perspective on polygamy I'd never heard before. I imagine the reason children have problems is because in addition to their biological mother, they have all these other pseudo-stepmothers around, some that their father may feel more attached to than others, so they don't really have an accurate example of what a married relationship should be.
That's really surprising that men with multiple wives are less satisfied than those with only one.
So what is your stance on this? I'm never sure where I stand on these things. Part of me want to say to leave it alone. Its part of their culture, and to interfere would be elitest (that's not the right word, but its all I can think of at the moment)but then, I don't know that much about polygomy or the culture surrounding it.
Also I moved from elle3 to this journal so add me back please :)

Well I think that certainly is a cultural bias.
It does negate the notion, in some regards, that it takes a village to raise a family.
Either way, those are high rates of depression and low rates of satisfaction all around.

...? That assumes that a married relationship "should be" one man-one woman. The logic is circular.

On the other hand, all you have to do is read the bible to see how bad an idea polygamy is.
