Lotsa monastic groups brewed beer also. Interesting. Just keep asking questions baby.

You know what's cool? The Egyptians (most ancient of brewers) called yeast "miracle of God" or something equally mystic. It's a great picture of incarnational living. If I find the exact right phrase I'll send it to you, it's been awhile.

I think that's a really awesome career. It allows you to be creative but it's also got the science/engineering aspect which appeals to me a lot. My grandfather worked in breweries in Africa and Australia for most of his life. They were pretty large though. He was their electrical engineer.

I think you need a tester. I volunteer!!!!! I would also accept payment for this seeing as I am looking for employment!

the one problem with your idea, is that i am, as well, looking for employment. i'm not exactly in the position to be paying anyone. heh. i'll take you as a volunteer tester, though.

We got to taste some pretty good beer on our recent trip. Well, Ben mostly, because I don't usually like beer (lambic is good, though, and I like cider). I did, however, find one that I liked. Unfortunately, it was at a beer hall/brewery in Prague that has been around for over 500 years and, as far as I know, does not ship to the U.S. You'll have to come up with something good for me.
