Drama Will Always Follow Because We're Human

At PantheaCon I made a new acquaintance, author Ivo Dominguez, Jr. I was fortunate enough to attend two of his workshops. I say "fortunate" because I honestly was not familiar with who he was and I learned quickly he was a sought out presenter as his lectures filled up like quicksilver. What drew me to Mr. Dominguez's workshops was not the man ( Read more... )

I'm not a Pagan, so I am not a authority here, but it seems to me that adding a hex would severely impact the energy of the song in general, wouldn't it? And not in a positive way.

And you would be correct! From a Pagan standpoint it's a very petty and dare I say, childish reaction to the situation.

It would be the equivalent of "change this verse in the Hail Mary and go to Hell" kind of threat.

What she's done is created something beautiful and then destroyed it because...people like it too much? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!

Childish is the least of the words I'd use to describe her reaction.

I've never been fond of Dianic traditions either and I certainly find myself agreeing with the commentor's opinion that you shared here.

Z Budapest... I haven't heard that name for a while. Years actually, but then I don't follow what's going on these days. I had at least one of her books and I didn't like her just based on that. She seemed a bit arrogant and egotistical, but that's just my distant memory of my then reaction to her. Can't remember the book now, but she doesn't half have a problem with men if that message above is anything to go by. Copyright is one thing, but that is something else.

I'm still quite the novice in Paganism and Wicca, but isn't one of the very first tenets "Harm None"? It seems to me that by her actions she's betraying the traditions she purports to celebrate and uplift.

When you start to codify rituals and leave no room for personal expression, evolvement, and being able to express joy, you might as well break out the Christian Missals, because they are set and rote.

Z seems to be putting a very big "NO BYS ALLOWED" sign up that is very ... unpagan.
