Details: Josh was the renegade member of The Links who warned Mutant X about Gabriel Ashlocke's "Last Testament" plans. In order to keep him quiet, Gabriel psionically caused Josh's thermal new mutant abilities to flare out of control. The resulting fire exploded the tanks of oil surrounding Josh. Shalimar Fox and Brennan Mulwray were able to escape, but Josh perished.
Trivia: After Mutant X, actor Jonas Chernick went on to co-write and co-produce the film Lucid, featuring two other former Mutant X guest stars, Lindy Booth (Diana Moller in "Time Squared") and Keith Callum Rennie (Zack Lockhart in "Ex Marks the Spot").
