Code Name series finally gets primetime UK slot

An action-adventure layered with an enticing love story, Code Name: Eternity is making its way to the UK's SCI FI Channel this month. With a cast that includes Billy Dee Williams as the mentor, Jim Graham, this gripping series has become a cult favourite across the globe. Previously seen on Channel 4 in a late-night graveyard slot, now we have the opportunity to savour it at a more rational time of night.

For women all over the world, the quest to find a good man is beset by many obstacles. Psychiatrist Laura Keating (Ingrid Kavelaars - who also played Erin in Jeremiah) has found herself a what she thinks is 'Mr Right' in her latest patient, Ethaniel (Cameron Bancroft - who was recently Lee Castle in 24). There's just one snag - he's an extra-terrestrial assassin who has been sent to Earth on a secret mission.

Ethaniel's arrival on our planet is not the most graceful of entrances - he crash lands, takes a knock to the head, gets hit by a car and loses his memory. This is a bit of a problem, not least because he's been sent to Earth to hunt and destroy a fellow alien. Posing as human David Banning (Andrew Gillies - who's also been seen as Kenneth Harrison in Mutant X), Ethaniel's nemesis is determined to make the Earth habitable for his own race. There's one problem he needs to get rid of first - all humans!

It's not long before psychiatrist Laura realises that helping Ethaniel to overcome his amnesia is the least of her worries. Can patient and doctor dodge Banning's assassins long enough for Ethaniel to remember his mission? And even if he does, can Ethaniel bring himself to kill his people's ultimate saviour? One thing’s for sure, Laura really has met the wrong guy (again!)

Also in he cast is Joseph Baldwin, a cousin of Alec, William, Stephen and Daniel, who plays Byder, a conspiracy theorist.

Code Name: Eternity begins on SCI FI Wednesdays from 17 August at 8.00pm.
