Intelligence

Intelligence is conspiratorial, clandestine, dangerous, seductive and volatile, full of betrayals and reprisals on both sides.

Tina (Lauren Lee Smith)
Lauren Lee Smith is quickly establishing herself as one of Hollywood's newest rising stars. Recently, Lauren wrapped one of the lead roles in Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's film, Pathology for MGM, starring opposite Milo Ventimiglia and Michael Weston and the guest lead role in the pilot for J.J. Abrams, Against All Hope for HBO. Previous to that Lauren shot a huge supporting role in the Bryan Singer horror film, Trick R' Treat for Warner Brothers. She plays an undead prom queen ala 'Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice' to Anna Paquin's character. Lauren was first discovered out of her native Vancouver when she was cast as a series regular on the hit Showtime show The L Word. Lauren seamlessly transitioned to films by next co-starring in Terry Zwigoff's film, Art School Confidential for Sony Classics opposite Max Minghella and from there co-starred as Casey Affleck's partner in the Sony film, The Last Kiss which Tony Goldwyn directed. Most notably, Lauren received much praise and attention from her performance as an outgoing and very sexual woman in the independent film, Lie With Me, of which she has the title role.

Uploaded on Aug 21, 2007

Check out Intelligence on CBC and find more sex, drugs and espionage than anywhere else on television starting Oct 1st at 9pm. Lauren Lee Smith (Tina) a stripper at the Chickadee owned by Jimmy Reardon (Ian Tracey) & Ronnie Delmonico (John Cassini) plays a double spy for CSIS's Mary Spalding (Klea Scott) and Jimmy Reardon. The conspiracy continues.

Interviewer: So you actually play a spy.
Lauren Lee Smith: Uh...Yeah. You can use that word, I suppose.
Interviewer: Who is Todd?
Lauren: He is Jimmy's bank manager. So essentially, it was Mary who hired me to look at Jimmy, to keep an eye on Jimmy.
Interviewer: All right.
Lauren: Yes.
Interviewer: So you originally came in working on the right side of the law.
Lauren: Yes. Yeah.
Interviewer: While you're in there, somebody else recognized your talents as a spy. It's like you're playing two different roles, isn't it? Or is it the same role?
Lauren: In a way, I think it's the same role. I think Tina is just a little bit of a player. She doesn't really have a side or a team. She's playing for herself.
