Sex and the City ‘MUTANT X’ STAR VICTOR WEBSTER TO GUEST STAR IN THE SEASON SIX PREMIERE OF ‘SEX AND THE CITY,’ SET TO AIR SUNDAY, JUNE 22 ON HBO
Los Angeles, June 11 - MUTANT X star Victor Webster will guest star in the sixth season premiere of HBO’s hit series Sex and the City, airing Sunday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). In the episode, Webster plays a stockbroker and Samantha’s (Kim Cattrall) latest love interest, but can’t reveal additional details about his character except to say that “handcuffs are involved.”
Webster, who stars as series regular Brennan Mulwray in Tribune Entertainment’s nationally syndicated sci-fi drama MUTANT X, also recently appeared in the smash hit comedy Bringing Down the House, starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. In the film, he played the handsome young love interest of Steve Martin’s ex-wife (Jean Smart).
Now in its second successful season and renewed for a third, MUTANT X revolves around a group of reluctant heroes who were unwitting test subjects of genetic experimentation. As a result, they developed astonishing - and sometimes deadly - powers - which they use in secret missions to help others when conventional methods fail. Webster’s character Brennan, a member of the Mutant X team, is able to generate and propel massive bolts of electricity in the team’s battles against evil.
Webster was named by People magazine as one of the “50 Most Eligible Bachelors” of 2002, putting him in the company of such superstars as Jason Timberlake and George Clooney. He first became known to television audiences in the role of Nicholas Alamain on Days of Our Lives. Additional TV credits include Sunset Beach and The Lot.

About.com 5/15/03: Victor Webster Interview with "Mutant X's" Victor Webster
by Rebecca Murray
While at the World Premiere of Jim Carrey's feel-good comedy, "Bruce Almighty," "Mutant X's" Victor Webster spoke briefly about the upcoming season, and about his guest starring role on "Sex and the City."
What are you doing in "Sex and the City?"
VICTOR WEBSTER ('Brennan') Kim Cattrall (laughing).
Are you going to be a recurring character?
No, no, no. I go back to doing "Mutant X." The first episode starts shooting at the beginning of June, so I can only do one episode. But I had such a great time.
What was it like on the set of "Sex and the City?"
It's really comfortable and really mellow. There's no attitude. Everybody was just extremely professional and fun. It was a pleasure.

About.com ET Online 6/18/03: Victor Webster 'Sex and the City''s New Hunk!
June 18, 2003
Last year hunkalicious VICTOR WEBSTER was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Eligible Bachelors," and when "Sex and the City" airs all this week, the "Mutant X" star will have a close encounter with Samantha Jones (KIM CATTRALL). "We meet each other at the front door," Victor tells ET. "Then she comes to give me a gift basket -- I don't want to spoil too much of it -- but as you can imagine, I answer the door just out of the shower and a series of events happen."
The Canadian-born actor won't say more about the story, except that "handcuffs are involved," and "there is a lot more to the story than there was to my wardrobe."
Victor is able to bare all -- or most all -- at the drop of a towel because he is always in shape. Still, he is not much for the gym. He keeps his bod looking good by playing sports such as playing basketball or tennis, and hiking with his dogs. "Basketball is a lot of fun, good cardio," he says. "I can't stand anything where I have to think about it. I am a player. No treadmill for me. If I am in Canada shooting ("Mutant X" shoots in Toronto) and it's freezing out, I don't want to be outside at all, so I have to find something else such as boxing or swimming. I have to mix it up."
Working on the "Sex and the City" set was a pleasant experience for Victor. He says there is no attitude, everybody gets along, and it is easy to tell they have been together for a while because there is a special communication between the ladies and their crew. As for working with Kim, the 6-foot, 3-inch actor says, "She is so sweet to everybody. It was a pleasure to work with her. There wasn't an uncomfortable moment at all, and you'd figure there might have been."
"Sex and the City" premieres Sunday, June 22, at 9 p.m. on HBO.

ET Online TV Guide 6/20/03: Victor Webster Mutant X-Symbol Talks About Sex
by Michael Ausiello June 20, 2003
Kim Cattrall's self-help book Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm should come with the following disclaimer: May cause performance anxiety in the actress-author's Sex and the City bedmates. "I found out about [the book] halfway through shooting," says Mutant X adonis Victor Webster, who plays a sleazy stockbroker seduced by Cattrall's sexually voracious alter ego Samantha on Sunday's season premiere (9 pm/ET on HBO). "I was like, 'If this was real-life, I would be very intimidated.'"
After his Sex stint reached its climax, Webster had the cajones to not only purchase Cattrall's graphic guide to pleasure, but read it cover to cover! His reaction? "She's got a pretty good understanding of the orgasm," he laughs. "She was very explicit and open about sharing everything, and that's really the way to learn."
So, what was it like filming those red-hot Sex sequences, which, in addition to handcuffs, featured enough screaming and yelling to drown out the blowhards on the floor of the New York stock exchange? "It was kind of an awkward thing," he admits, "because you have no clothes on and you've got 70 people around you and you're handcuffed to a bed. And then you have this little piece of fabric covering your goods. You feel really vulnerable and exposed, but you just have to overcome that and make the scene work. It's a challenge."
Luckily, Cattrall - an old pro at reel sex - put him at ease. "You wouldn't expect somebody at that level to be so down to earth as well as so talented," marvels the newly single actor, who next week begins work on the third and final season of Mutant X. "She has this inner - as well as outer - sex appeal. It's just amazing." Well, someone's certainly mastered the art of the female compliment.

Sex and the City recognition
EDGE: You’ve done a little bit of everything in your career. You were on Days Of Our Lives, the syndicated sci-fi show Mutant X and you did an episode of Sex and the City where you played a new neighbor of Kim Cattrall’s Samantha. What do you get recognized for the most?
VW: I do get a lot of Sex and the City and I think it’s because you saw a lot of me. [laughs] so it’s probably seared into people’s minds. There’s been a lot of Charmed, too, but mostly Sex and the City.
