The Audio Publishers Association (APA) will host The Audies® award celebration on May 19 in the nation’s Capitol to announce the winners of this year’s award competition. Winners will be honored in 28 categories during the gala at the historic National Press Club in Washington, D.C. This year APA is recognizing the “Audiobook of the Year,” based not just on the criteria for the traditional awards, but also on excellence in the marketing campaign, sales, and overall impact on the audio publishing field. Finalists selected for this prestigious award represent the depth and breadth of audio publishing.

Publishers, producers, and narrators gathered for a black-tie gala honoring the year’s best audiobooks. Princeton Junction, NJ - The Audio Publishers Association (APA) has announced nominations for its 2010 Audies competition, the only awards program in the United States devoted entirely to honoring spoken word entertainment. Winners will be announced at the Audies Gala on May 25, 2010, at The Museum of the City of New York in New York City.
