Killer Hair Casting News for the Crime of Fashion Lifetime Television Movies!
My thanks to the many friends and fans who have offered me suggestions for actors to play the parts of Lacey Smithsonian and the rest of her crew in the Crime of Fashion Mysteries that are being filmed by Lifetime Television. It’s been fascinating and fun to contemplate all the endless possibilities, but now I have great news: Those endless possibilities have been narrowed down! Most of the major roles for Killer Hair have now been cast. While I have nothing at all to do with selecting the actors, the cast members look very impressive.
Maggie Lawson of television’s “Psych” will play my heroine Lacey Smithsonian.
Victor Webster who appeared on “Charmed” will play Lacey's love interest Vic Donovan.
James McDaniel who appeared for many years on “NYPD Blues” will play Lacey's editor Douglas MacArthur Jones.
Finola Hughes of “General Hospital” will play hair salon diva Josephine Radford.
Sarah Edmondson will play Lacey's friend Brooke Barton.
....
For a peek at the lead actors go to my web site, where we’ve put together a movies page at
http://www.ellenbyerrum.com/eb_website_january_21_2009_002.htm Lifetime will begin shooting Killer Hair in Canada this month and Hostile Makeover in February. I have to say that as more details become known, it’s actually beginning to seem real to me.

UGO.com 4/24/09: Victor Webster Harper's Island: Victor Webster Interview
Posted by LilHil at 4:28PM
UGO: How was it working with Bruce Willis?
Victor: He's cool, man, he's super cool. He's a lot like his character in Die Hard. He's sarcastic and has the great little one-liners. You can tell he's been around in this business forever, he's good friends with everyone on the set. I've got a movie called Burning Palms with Nick Stahl and Paz Vega coming out and then I'm doing two Lifetime movies, which are kind of a departure from what they usually do?
UGO: You mean they don't involved Meredith Baxter Burney?
Victor: (laughs) No they're romantic comedies. Kind of like legally blonde meets murder mystery with some elements of sex and the city thrown in.

ABOUT KILLER HAIR
Lacey Smithsonian (Lawson) is a fashion columnist for a Washington, D.C., newspaper who ends up reporting on more than just style when dead bodies keep mysteriously crossing her path. Believing you are what you wear - and that everything you wear is a fashion clue - Lacey uses her style-savvy sense to get to the bottom of the murders that have taken place at her girlfriend Stella's (Sadie LeBlanc, Rumours) hair salon. As Lacey continues to follow the killer's trail, she must stay out of her newspaper's ego-driven crime reporter's (Consuelos) way and determine which of the salon's colorful characters could be the murderer. Is it the unfaithful owner's competitive wife, Josette (Hughes), or could it be Josette's loyal friend and the salon's top-stylist, Leonardo (Cantone)? The only thing that knocks Lacey off her high-heel stride is her ex-boyfriend, Vic Donovan (Webster), who coincidentally turns out to be the lead detective on the case. Along with the help of her friends, Lacey works to solve the mysteries, all the while scrambling to meet her Crime of Fashion column deadlines.
ABOUT HOSTILE MAKEOVER
Street-smart, fashion journalist Lacey Smithsonian continues to scoop her fellow reporters when she becomes a witness to the murder of a well-known supermodel. Soon, the world of high fashion comes undone when a killer is on the loose, and Lacey must once again use her stylish investigative skills to get the headline and solve the case. The story becomes a family affair when Lacey's mother (McDonnell) and sister (Katharine Isabelle, Supernatural) drop in and unwittingly become involved in the investigation. Will Lacey be able to keep her personal life from unraveling and save the world of haute couture from another murder?
