EV is moving to Seattle in the morning. I gave her that last hug 1/2 an hour ago or so when she dropped Forest off. I prolly won't see her for quite some time. It feels odd. Even though I feel very much like both she and I will be better off not "together" in the long run, seeing her move away feels strange. 13 years is a long time together.

That really is a long time. It must be weird....how's Forest handling all this?

Fairly well, actually. Forest and I have been spending quite a bit of time together these last 6 months. We each still enjoy the other's company--so that's good. She misses her mom, but is busy and happy with her own life. Ballet twice a week, improv class once a week, coming with me to rehearsal once or twice a week--her evenings fill up with these things. She likes school and has playdates sometimes on the weekends. The biggest problem is actually that most of the kids have moved out of our neighborhood. Don't know why. I swear I wasn't creeping anyone out with my unblinking stare. Much.

That's really nice to hear...reminds me of something a therapist that I trained with told me about Zeb. He said that when he asked about his father to answer directly, but not to dwell on talking about it or bring it up and to keep Zeb focused on all of the interesting and exciting things that life has to offer.
