[The package received by the doctor himself was similar, of course - he'd opened it not knowing anything about the town and how it worked. The flood of memories was... not as jarring as they might have been.
As Silence had already figured, it wasn't really that much of a stretch that they might have gotten together. In fact, he was only irritated that the town would take away such memories. But then, they had gone so far as to take away Silence's wings, and their scars... so why not that? He was brooding on this fact, actually, while his drone family went about their business, while Silence made his way to Taylor Road. It was so odd, though. Why would they remove recent memories, and not those from hundreds or thousands of years prior

[Silence's expression is slightly questioning - with, perhaps, a faint overtone of amusement at the suggestion that they'd 'speak'. But that was the beauty of being around Nusakan; the elder mystic had spent enough time around Silence that they often didn't even need to write things down anymore in order for Silence to communicate. His fellow officers in IRPO had been equally proficient at it - reading thought and expression into the twitches of his lips, the look in his eyes, the tilt of his head, the movement of his eyebrows, even the quiver of his wings. (Of course, not having his wings at the moment did make things a little harder.) Over time, however, Nusakan had surpassed even his coworkers with his skill in interpreting his younger patient. Communication wouldn't be an issue...provided they had any idea what to say to each other

[It was still 'speech', to the doctor - even if nary a word was exchanged. It had always bothered Fuse, which.. really did nothing to stop Nusakan from wanting to do it all the more, of course. He was deciding what to say, how to say it, while they headed downstairs, footsteps echoing against the cold cement walls.
That was neither here nor there, at any rate - he puts all other thoughts aside in the privacy of his basement. What now, indeed?]
... Well, I would say that depends on you. It's funny, though... of all the things they took away, why those memories? As comfortable as I am with the idea that they are real, and that there was a reason for them to be removed... we must also consider the possibility that they are a fabrication. Even so... I won't pretend it wasn't something I had considered.
[Pushing his glasses up (and a little disappointed that they lacked the proper glare), he tilts his head.]Did we even 'end' this supposed relationship? Another oddity - there's no indication of it, simply that we 'forgot'... and if there

[Silence tips his head back, eyebrows lifting. With Nusakan, his expressions are as good as speech. Something you considered? Before coming here?
In response to whether they'd ended their relationship...Silence shakes his head. He doesn't remember anything of the sort before their arrival in Mayfield. He isn't certain how likely it is that the memories are false in any way - in fact, he's not quite certain what's drawn Nusakan to suspect such a thing, even remotely - but their relationship, if it was real, is still ongoing.
He can't quite believe he could forget something like that, no matter what this town can manage.]
