LJ-cut poll

My current LJ-cut policy: I don't LJ-cut SGA fanart, but I am cut-tagging fanart for any other fandom, and when I do use a cut tag, I include a thumbnail. I was thinking it'd be convenient not to have to click through every time, since almost (almost!) everybody here is in SGA and the pictures are usually no more than a screen long and 100 kb big, ( Read more... )

I can't make up my mind which way to vote, so I'll just say it here: The way you've been dealing with your fanart so far has been perfectly acceptable to me. My screen resolution is 1024x768 and the entries on my friends page are about 75% of that space. You've never once made my layout go sideways.

I'm on dialup, too, but the file size of your pieces has never noticeably slowed down my normal load time, which is saying a lot, because I can tell right away when someone has posted actual photos outside of a cut-tag. *sigh*

Basically, I say carry on. Seeing your art right there on my friends page is always a delight.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that! I used to be on dial-up before college ethernet spoiled me, but I remember big pictures were excruciatingly slow to load, so I was really worried about that in particular. :)

Anyways, so, yes, I'm really glad. ♥

And of course, even a simple poll is beyond me because I meant to tick option 2 for question 1 but got distracted by ticky box getting mad.

I have no idea what kbs are and pixel sizes and how long stuff takes so I, um, didn't really answer those bits. Hmph.

If you have broadband, the image size, at least, shouldn't be a problem. :)
