(pre-timeskip) Permission's post - Link Up / Sync Up
Derrick can link up with people, which can do a number of things. Early on, he's doing that accidentally. What I'm most concerned with the fact that another person can hear a semi-clear thought or emotion of his when he does so. It's // clearly marked //, and each time, it's also completely okay not to hear it or mistake it as speech and so on. I'll write an OOC note in the tag about it too.
Derrick also starts mimicking their movements and does them exactly at the same time in the same way. It can be something from crossing arms to something more complex like doing a dance sequence. He does this unconsciously and won't be able to replicate the moves on his own. Naturally, I can't do this without a gesture to go off of, and the more complex ones will need some cooperation beforehand.
As time goes on, both changes to only affecting people he's close with, and everything is more on a one on one basis. He'll also be less likely to do it accidentally. More info is in his app. page.
Maybe I'm making to much out of this, but I'd rather play it safe. So, if you're okay with Derrick accidentally and briefly link up with your character (hearing a thought and copying movements), please let me know. It's fine to give the okay for one and not the other too.
As for the non-accidental ones... Derrick needs to befriend the character and build up trust with them first. We'll deal with that when it comes to it. =)
