[Dying and coming back without her memories is by far the most disorienting experience of Jael's life. [Guess who also happens to be walking past the Great Keep on his way to gather up threads and needles? A doctor that might be rather familiar!

He nods politely to Jael as he passes, but quickly does a double take and nearly trips over the pant leg of his few-sizes-too-long pants. He takes a few steps back, instinctively, but soon realizes that she might have just been infected during their first get together.]

[Uh-oh. Jael sees that reaction and she in turn shrinks back against the wall a little bit. She smiles tentatively to hide the hurt look on her face and pulls out her small writing pad. She writes "hello" on it, though Malkus might need to come closer to read it.]

[Well she seems normal enough but Malkus notices that silence. He moves in slowly, leaning forward just enough to read the greeting.]

O-Oh. Um-...

[This is rather awkward. It's not often that you meet up with someone who's tried to attack you... Even though this is the second time that's happened for Malkus so far.]

I-...I'm really sorry for er-...

[He goes into an apologetic bow, a tone of shame and sorrow present in his voice.]

A thousand apologies for being so horrid as to actually strike a woman. I-I assure you I never would have under any other situation.. I just hope that I did not cause any lasting damage...

[Jael is completely bewildered by Malkus' apology. She gapes at him for a moment before recovering enough to write on her notepad.]

No no, there is absolutely no need for you to apologize to me. I attacked you and I would rather you have struck me then kill you. I'm sorry I attacked you so for no reason.

[Jael reaches out as if to pat Malkus reassuringly on the arm, but stops at the last moment and lets her hand drop.]
