This will probably seem like a weird question, but what is the point of this celebration that is coming up? We don't have it on my world and I do not understand it.

All I know is that we're supposed to dress in costumes?

Where I'm from, Halloween is a holiday for people to dress up. They can be anyone they want to be for one night only. Little kids would go from one home to another and ask for candy. There would be haunted houses and corn mazes and things that frighten you.

Typically it can also refer to a Celtic festival, or an old pagan ceremony, but now it's mostly for entertainment and cheap horrors.

Mmhmm. It's mostly about dressing up, candy, parties, and nights of silly horror. I guess it's a bit different for all age groups.
