Tachibana-san is sweating quite a lot, really, and it's clear to the rest of the Fudomine team that he's not doing well out there. His feet shuffle against the court, and watching it is almost painful, so they can't imagine how their captain must be feeling, to have been reduced to this by some psychotic and sadistic Rikkai bastard.
Tachibana-san's opponent, Kirihara Akaya, sickens them with his false apologies and false pity and his all-too-real strategy to injure and humiliate and crush dreams.
When the game ends, Fudomine has lost to Rikkaidai in a fell swoop, but more importantly, they have lost their captain, whom they have to carry off the court seeing as he can't walk. It's all thanks to Kirihara.
Kamio Akira, in the midst of supporting his captain as he tries to shuffle off the court, looks over his shoulder and meets eyes with Kirihara. Akira's eyes are very nearly feral with contempt and loathing [a/n - it was really hot], and Kirihara's eyes are still tainted with red. The atmosphere is not good - it's as if a dark cloud has come and covered the sun, but it really hasn't because that's a simile.
The two second years glare for a long time, but when his best friend pokes Akira and tells him that he should probably work on getting going, and that Tachibana-san probably needs a doctor, Akira's eyes are torn away and where once there was nothing but anger and rage, there is now nothing but sadness.
The entire Fudomine team stands by as Tachibana-san is led to the ambulance.
