my english classes are interesting this semester. two of them are filled with kids who want to be stars and are, in reality, 40 watt bulbs, one is chock full of apologists for the foolishness inherent in British Romance lit and gunners who monopolize any discussion, and the other one is a creative writing class filled with mostly bad writers and a ( Read more... )

Muth. Ok, I know this is totally random, but I've been meaning to tell you this: I live in seattle now, in grad school, blah blah, whatever (no, not tell you that, that was just a set up). The thing is, I am teaching intro chemistry, and I have this one student who reminds me SO MUCH of your freshman self it is ridiculous (though not nearly as smart). I love him just a little bit more because of it. ( I also think of you now about twice a week, if your ears have been burning, or whatever that saying is..)Anyway, thats about enough of that.

Kate! long time no see indeed. that's cool that there's some mini-me running around seattle, hope he stays out of trouble a little better than i did. so i assume you're at UDub, i applied there to finish off my undergrad about a year and 1/2 ago. grad program for what? chemistry somehow involved i would assume. still talk to any of the girls from Zoo? horon still follow you around? (that's what i heard at least) that's about enough questions for now, great to hear from you and i'll be thinking about you too

regardless. yes, i'm at Udub (you should come here, its cool but it rains an f'ing lot) and I'm in a phD Chemistry program. Thats why I have to teach..to pay the bills yo. Its good altogether. I am actually wearing a lab coat right now lol. yes there is something under it. (did I pre-empt that or what?)
I actually just saw Sarah and Alison this weekend when I was in cleveland for thanksgiving, the rest of the WIPF mafia.. yeah we all talk, some more than others, but mostly theres still love.
Right now I entertain myself by sending horon and mikusko random things in the mail. Its fun to get mail, its more fun to get it in brooklyn.
