For the past year and a half i have been driving around with only one working windshield wiper.  When it rains it gives my passenger the feeling of being hurled into the unknown which, i think, builds a sense of trust . . .Anyway today i found out that it was just a loose bolt and it took just a minute to fix.

the end of that sentence might be . . .great minds reconcile themselves to odd and unnecessary inconveniences because we just can't be bothered with the solution that is mundane and would prefer to imagine our limitation as some sort of advantage

I have a 1982 impala with a door handle that is half falling off on one of the back doors. I have a feeling that, now that I think about it, it could be quite easily solved in much the same way as your wiper dilemma was. I just can't be bothered.
