chunker “There’s a baby in the basket.” Jaejoong uselessly pointed as soon as he entered the deserted classroom. He was then followed by Changmin, who also noted the exact same thing.
Jaejoong glared and punched the sophomore on the arm. “Stop copying me.”
“I didn’t? There is a baby in the basket. How else am I supposed to rephrase that?” Changmin retaliated and hit Jaejoong’s arm. They continued hitting each other until Chanhee started crying, making everybody shuffle close to the red-faced baby.
“Aw, now how are we gonna study? He won’t stop crying.” Carefully wiping the tears on the baby’s cheeks, Changmin made awful faces in hopes of cheering Chanhee up.
Turning sharply towards the father, Jaejoong questioned surreptitiously, “Why did you bring him here in the first place? Where’s Yoochun?” his hand continued to shake the rattle back and forth in front of the baby’s face. Obviously, it was a useless tactic as Chanhee continued to stream fresh tears.
Beaming proudly, Yunho grinned like a man who just won the jackpot and gave a thumb-up, “I’m on daddy duty! Yoochun said I needed a bit more of training… so here I am!” He remembered how his husband literally shoved the baby basked into his arms and gently placed the six-month old baby inside.
“Come back when you’re fatherly enough!” Yoochun yelled from the couch, waving his hand carelessly in the air as Yunho trudged out of their shared apartment with renewed determination.
Doe-like-eyes blinked twice. “Idiot.” Jaejoong muttered. It was evident that Yoochun just wanted to get rid of them to have some inner peace for a day... and Yunho took the bait like a gullible noob.
"He is." Changmin used his index finger to push his glasses further up his nose.
“Besides,” Yunho bent over and cooed at the still crying infant. “Chanhee and I needs more father and son bonding time, isn’t that right, baby-ah?”
The cries doubled in volume. Hands flopping down dejectedly to his side, Yunho sighed. “I give up, he’s been crying ever since we got here and it got worse when you two arrived.”
Quirking a single eyebrow, Jaejoong regarded Yunho with distaste. “Did you feed him?”
Yunho sneered, “Of course I did! I’m not that clueless…”
“Sure.” Jaejoong intoned with indifferent agreement.
Changmin leaned back, arms in akimbo as he contemplated what could’ve gone wrong. “Maybe his diaper is full?” He had a couple of baby cousins back at home and they usually cry this much when they dirtied their diapers.
“Oh my god, do something about it! Someone’s trying to study here!”
The three turned and found a student at the very corner table, bent over his books.
“Oh, I didn’t know Junsu’s here.” Jaejoong’s owlish blinking irked Junsu to no end and he tried his best not to throw his math book on his face.
Shrugging, Yunho stated, “He got here before all of us.”
“Morning, Junsu.” Changmin greeted, giving him a short wave of his hand.
“You all suck balls. Nobody ever notices I’m around.” Junsu shot back affronted. “Change Chanhee’s diaper before I knock your heads off with algebra and not the metaphorical kind.”
Yunho took out all the necessities for diaper changing and laid Chanhee on the blanket. The baby stopped crying for a bit and stared at the three men hovering above, chewing on his chubby fingers.
Smile falling, Yunho turned to both of his friends and asked, “So… does anyone of you know how to change diapers?” at the look of incredulous confusion, Yunho explained further. “Yoochun usually do these things…”
“Tell me, Yunho, does anyone else in this room have a baby?” Changmin hissed and leered when Yunho shook his head, “Then I guess that answers your question.”
Sighing, Yunho turned to Jaejoong, seeking help.
“Don’t look at me, I’m as clueless as you are… and that says a lot.” The raven sarcastically intoned.
Heaving a deep sigh of regret, Yunho voiced out resolutely as he looked helplessly at his crying spawn. “Then we have no other choice.”

Unforgivable messy notes filled the living room and probably even caused some of the stray cats falling off the roof. Reaching the second verse of the song, he finally swiped his thumb across the phone’s screen and answered succulently. “Hello-”
“Chunnie!”
Hearing his husband’s voice alone immediately lit up his mood to a certain point of happiness. “Yunnie-ah!” Unfortunately, his cheerful greeting was returned with a quite annoyed tone of voice.
“What’s taking you too long to answer?”
“I was singing along with TaeTiSeo.”
“Tae… what?”
“Ringtone.”
“Baby, if you do that all the time, you’ll end up missing a lot of phone calls.”
Jutting his lower lip into a pout, he almost neglected the fact that Yunho wasn’t in front of him to see it. “But it’s a really nice song.” Toes started to wiggle again as the song played inside his head, blocking the sound of Yunho growling on the other end of the line. “What’s wrong? You sound weird.”
There was a bit of hesitation on Yunho's side but he eventually got around relaying what was going on att he momemt. “Well, Chanhee made the number two and he’s now crying like a banshee. Help me?”
“Oh no no no NO, where’s the fun in that?” Yoochun always hated it how Yunho never seemed to remember all the baby lessons he spoon-fed him and always relied on the miniscule skills he got from both of their mothers. “You’re daddy of the day today so your day, your problem.” Sitting back on the couch, surrounded by pillows, Yoochun relaxed and hummed again.
“But-”
“Bye, bye, Yunnie! Make sure to use baby powder, okay?”

Sighing, Yoochun reached out for the orange juice in a flute and sipped it like a decadent wine. For the first time since he gave birth to Chanhee, Yoochun never felt so free and at peace.
Then why does a part of him wished his family were relaxing with him instead?

When Yunho returned later that day, there was no baby in the basket.
He was now cocooned within Yunho’s strong arms and Yoochun cooed at the adorable sight. Looking at his husband with full of love and admiration, he could tell that the changing diapers mission was a success.
“Junsu did it. We pissed him off enough to do it himself. Oh, but I did help sprinkle baby powder!” Yunho explained, chuckling as he placed Chanhee in the crib as gently as he could. His son twisted around, tiny hands clenching on the blanket while dark eyes blinked curiously at his parents.
Yoochun reached into the crib and brushed his fingers along Chanhee’s cheeks. “How’s my baby? Was daddy nice to you? He didn’t drop you, did he?” Chanhee only giggled while Yunho growled a little behind him. There was a time when Yunho almost dropped the baby, but luckily, Jaejoong was fast enough to catch him. He will just have to keep that to himself.
After singing Chanhee to sleep, Yoochun left the room right after the little bundle of joy closed his eyes and drifted into dreamland.
“I did pretty awesome today.” Yunho stated as soon as they reached their bedroom, puffing out his chest like an alpha-male. “Now I know why you put baby powder in there.”
Straightening up, Yoochun gave the taller man a once over before he reached out and kissed him on the lips. “You did great, sweetheart.” Grinning, he trailed his fingers up and down his husband’s chest and whispered hotly against his ear, “So great that you definitely deserve an award.” Pulling back a little, he stared into the heated eyes of Yunho, wheedling him further to devour him all night. “What do you say, baby?”
On that very same night, Yubin was almost conceived. Unfortunately they still had to wait a few more months in order for Yoochun to get pregnant again. Let’s save that for another story.
