i'm going through a little bit of a life crisis right now. colleges didn't go my way, at all. i'm having a hard time dealing with that fact. i got rejected by nearly every school i really wnated to go to save three where i was i was waitlisted - bowdoin, carleton, and wesleyan, all of which i would absolutely LOVE to go to. so i'm going to be

i'm not worried about my success in life, as i already said. that's the least of my worries. it's just a quesiton of getting that reward that i personally feel my work deserved

i'm both glad and sad that you had the same experience as me. glad that i can comiserate with you, but sad that others had/are going/will have to go through what i'm going through
my only issue is that a lot of the work i did in high school was the sole purpose for getting in to college. i'm very directed as far as what i'm interested in academically, and included with that there are subjects that i honestly do not like. that said, i still took AP US history (don't like us history0, physics (don't like most of science), and countless other courses to "appease" colleges. it's those classes that caused me a lot of the pain i had to go through in high school and that is why this all so painful
i know what you're saying. i know it's true. it's just hard
p.s. i just watched 16 candles for the first time 2 nights ago. i absolutely loved it

i worked to the point of extreme mental depression and constant mental/emotional breakdowns (especially last year) and i didn't get what i did it all for. that's teh bottom line
