We can't take them (three adults, three cats, and a toddler are more than enough for a Baltimore rowhouse), but if you can't find them a home, I'd like to personally recommend the North Shore Animal League. It's an awesome no-kill shelter out on Long Island. I once adopted a dog from out there (had to return him, as he had issues with men--on reflection, I shoulda kept the dog and ditched the man, but I digress), and they take the care of their charges very seriously. And they can be reached by LIRR if you are car-less.
