Try to think of it this way - If he didn't trust you enough, he wouldn't keep talking about his friend. He obviously trusts you enough to be able to cope with the fact he has a female friend that he gets on well with - which is good, as the other route he could take would be to hide it from you (which he has clearly seen is NOT a good idea, as will only lead to suspicions in the future)
