I just got home from a cookie exchange/Christmas party with some of my co-workers and their friends. The mood was lighthearted and merry. I was there eating, talking and laughing along with everyone else, but deep down I was certainly not feeling lighthearted or happy. I'm sorry hon. It'll take a while but I'm sure that in a while, it'll be easier. I don't think you'll ever forget her and the loss of her but eventually it'll be less painful.

Thanks, Vivi. I read your post the other day about your great uncle dying and I'm really sorry. I realize death is a part of life and I know in my heart that our loved ones go to a better place, but I think it's just one of those things that is always going to be hard to deal with. I do hope it gets a little easier with time, though.
