Poor Peter. He was captured so well in this. It was beautifully written.

So wonderfully portrayed. I loved the characterizations, and the intent of all the characters, James, Sirius - but mostly Peter. This so easily could have gone from touching to creepy, with him watching, but it really wasn't. I enjoyed that you made the distinction so clear, the curious, just curious, I'm left out... Peter was really quite special. As was Remus, with what little we saw of him.
Beauty :D

Ah, I'm so glad he didn't come across as too creepfest. Thanks so much!

I love this pairing, and this is a wonderful incarnation of it. Peter's POV is a great idea and really well done. You really capture the boy who McGonagall describes as trailling round after the other Marauders, not quite fitting in or catching up. His longing and feeling of being left out are really strong, as is the relationship between James and Sirius.

Thanks very much. I love this pairing too; there's such a shortage of J/S around :/

I love your portrayal of Peter--he's not an easy character to like or even sympathize with, knowing what we come to know about him through the books. But you've painted him as a truly tragic character, who really cares for his friends and wants so badly to fit in. I love the way you establish this from the beginning, with him attempting "to appear less uncomfortable than he truly is," and the way he sees Remus as a "liaison" between himself and the other two boys. And he could have easily used what he saw between James and Sirius against them, yet he doesn't. It really makes me want to see more of your Peter.

Thanks so much! I'm glad that Peter came across as a sympathetic character here, as was my intention, rather than a creepster/loser, which I was trying my best to avoid.
