Name/Nickname: My real name is Rebecca, but that is too proper and doesn't go along well with my last name. (Which most people can't spell or pronounce right. ARGH.) My family calls me Becky, because it's...cute I guess. When I found this group of people called 'friends' in the 8th grade, they started calling me Beck. I just stuck with it.
Now on the INTERNET, I go by Hiss, named after my very first Mary-Sue, Serena Hiss.
Age: 15, going on 16 on March 1rst.
Likes: I really hate filling out this part, because truthfully I like a LOT of things. Okay, let's start with the major. I really, REALLY love art as in doodling, painting, photoshop, photography, acting, dancing, etc. Second, I have a huge love for fashion. Never Hollister or Aeropostale, but just finding really quirky clothes and putting them together. I love vintage shirts, boheme skirts, and really bizarre shoes. Oh! Scarves and sweatervests are possibly my favorite items of clothing. Thirdly, I HAVE to say Freddie Mercury just...because. Fourth, roleplaying. It's highly addictive and helps me out with my horrible writing skills. I want to produce a fantasy novel, damn it! Fifth, my personal Padfoot that I am going to make a point never to forget even when I'm old and gray. Six, musicals. Yes. Seven, STAR WARS and any of that geeky stuff. Mmorpgs, Star Wars, D'n'D, and Weird Al since I was...nine.
Dislikes: Many, many trendy things. I don't know. I have an immense dislike for things that start becoming REALLY popular. It just stops becoming cool. Lots of r&b and lots of rap. There ARE a few rappers that I like, but not many. Um...oh! Being pressured to do something quickly. I really like taking my time. People who think they are so 'crazy' and 'different', but really are...just not, stop embarrassing yourself. I also hate Geometry with a fiery passion.
Strong points: Uh...christ. I'm not very good with this BIG self-esteem thing. Okay, I guess I'm a good listener. Whenever a friend has a problem, I always take it upon myself to find out what the Hell is the matter and see if I can help in any way. I'm the shoulder to cry on, however awkward that may be...if your problem is death, well I try my best to help at least? Other than listening, I'm affectionate. Though, I suppose that could also count as bad to some people. I don't know what else. I try to be funny? I act well? I hope.
Weaker points: I get aggravated easily about things that do not go my way. I also get into these BAD slumps of depression. It's pathetic. Oh, and Geometry. DIE.
What is something you'd change about yourself?: One thing, right? Sometimes when I'm with my friends, I get this feeling that I'm being very obnoxious. Sometimes, I wish I could find a happy medium. I'm very quiet with strangers and very loud with friends. I just want to be equal with everyone and have the ability to TALK correctly.
Hobbies & Talents: Roleplaying, dancing, acting, singing, any form of art, writing, aggravating my mother, asking awkward questions, breaking the tension, popping my thumb, and I make good brownies apparently.
Favorite colors: RED!
Favorite foods: My favorite is...cow tongue. NO, we don't eat the taste buds. Those are scraped off. Whe done, it's cut up into slices and the meat is SO SOFT AND GOOD.
Mature or Immature?: I like to think I'm a balance of both. I'm immature sometimes with my peers, but can handle most situations quite maturely.
Leader or Follower?: A follwer, psh.
Optimistic or Pessimistic?: I like to expect the worst out of everything, that way I won't get too let down. If I get my hopes too high only to be brought down...damn, that's the worse feeling.
Day or Night Person? Definitely a night owl.
Social or more aloof? I've been more social in the last year than normal.
Favorite quote & why?: "If life were a bitch, it'd be easy." - By me, because I keep hearing people say that and yeah. I like arguing!
"Life's a dress. It's either short or long, fancy or plain, and cheap or expensive. Knowing MY sense of style, I want the wildest dress out of that thrift store now." - Also by me. This was written for my Acting class monologue this winter. I actually use to say life was a dress, but I never elaborated on it until my monologue. While everyone was writing about their boyfriends, I wrote mine about death and life. Hahaha.
What is the last book you've read?: Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs and it was fantastic.
What are your goals and ambitions: I use to want to be a stage actress, but I thought of how it was impossible to have a stable family or income that way. And it's way too hard to break into professionally, any who. Now, I'm thinking along the lines of English or Art teacher with art projects on the side. I want to complete a graphic novel one day, for example.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?: I'll be attending a community college and most likely staying at my parents' house as much as I would hate it. Hopefully I'll be seeing my Padfoot more frequently and freely. <3
What are your closest friends like?: My closest HIGH SCHOOL friend is like me only less extreme. She is a huge theatre nut and we laugh immaturely about the stupidest things ever. We're...retarded to put it harshly. I can't really tell her my personal problems. She usually gets jealous about my love life (former confusing emotions, best not get into it.) and all she can say is, "I'm sorry."
My other closest High School friend is a hippy in the nicest sense. She's much more mature, but still has that goofy side we love. I can talk to her more about my personal problems and expect a good response.
Now onto friends that don't depend on age...my brother and his girlfriend are amongst my best friends ever. Why not? I tell them mostly everything and we compliment eachother well. We like many of the same stuff and dork about MMORPGs and movies. What's not to love?
Finally, my Padfoot. I've known her for probably five years and we haven't been really close until my last year of Junior High. We're always keeping in touch right now whether via cell phone or computer. I'm hoping she can visit this summer...but enough of THAT. Well, as for WHAT she's like? God, I can't even explain. She's...funny, of course and is possibly the best with advice. She's very caring and loving plus all this other stuff I cannot put into correct words.
How do your friends decribe you?: The same cliche answer; nice, funny, and caring. I asked them once. Trust me.
When you’re in a group, what's your part in the group dynamic?: I'm the funny, perverted one who likes to touch people.
What was the stupidest thing you and your friends have ever done?: Um...WELL - I'll go with most recent. Yesterday, we were discussing a Zombie RPG that would take place in our town. You could choose from four players (us) and we each have our own special weapons. One of them being the leg of one of our good friends who sadly was devouted by zombies. Any way, it would be called World of Zombies AKA ZOW. We started to discuss it and then my first friend mentioned and I got into this detailed conversation about our characters' levels and skills.
Oh, and one stupid thing I recall with my first friend mentioned happened during an improv game in Acting. We were suppose to act out table tennis without saying any words and my friend and I turned this into some crazy shit. We called it Extreme Tennis, which involved a lot of dramatic paddle swings and I wound up on the ground with a 'shot wound'. I then took out my own 'gun' and 'shot' her. It was pretty sick.
What are your feelings towards each of the four houses?: Gryffindor is really overrated these days as is Slytherin. I mean, the houses themselves aren't too bad, but I just hate those who seem to forget that there are TWO OTHER HOUSES.
Ravenclaw is neat and I'd most likely wind up there. It's mediocre to me, I suppose.
HUFFLEPUFF IS MY HOME BOI. I love that house. So much. LIKE THIS [----------------- x infinity]
Describe the house qualities that you feel accurately reflect you. Please try to include traits from each of the four houses.: I'm definitely loyal to all my really good friends. I always will have their back. I work hard when I'm interested in a project. I pretend to be cunning and witty, even if what I say is LAME. Courage? Um, no.
Given the choice, which house would you NOT want to be in?: Gryffindor...though my favorite character (Remus) is in that house. Weep.
Anything else?: I am the walrus.
How did you find this community?: Jesse, one of your moderators (I THINK), linked me.
Pictures. Or a description of yourself.
Certainly! I'm too lazy to get them from photobucket, so facebook will do.
I LOVE THAT HAT.
Me, my brother's girlfriend, and my brother. I did my make up all goth-like for myspace pictures, zomg. :''''(
Testing out my brother's webcam, haha.
MOST recent of newly short hair.
Yes.
