And yes, I am so glad that I found the little one in time. It's not a pleasant time while they die but it's worthwhile and much better than just finding a little corpse. Much the same thing happened with Berry cat even down to the dousing him with hot water to warm him up(three years ago almost to the day). I found him collapsed and wet with rain and freezing cold but I was at least there for him, finally.
God damn, there's been too much of this sort of thing in the last few years. And then you get wankers like Russl Davies who think that it's entertaining and romantic to have someone you love die in your arms...

They are such characters. I couldn't believe it when I acquired my first two they, and all subsequent ones, were such individuals. It's quite a lesson to learn that even such tiny creatures have their own, distinct personalities and quirks.

And a belated happy birthday. I seem to remember that this time last year I was promising you a new chapter of Street Life.
Apart from what you kindly read over for me, I've not done anything worth mentioning *hangs head in shame*. What you said got me thinking though, so it wasn't all wasted. But god, I'd like to make some practical progress.
I'd be happy to post that chapter, now, but I have to get a lot more of it written first, otherwise I just look like an idiot.

YAY for the free haircuts. I remember those days, when I did hair I had a hard time finding models to come in. One would think that a free haircut would entice more people to come.
